Shipping
Up to now I already shipped sidecars to France, Germany and New Zealand.
All bikes have been broken in for about 300 km before shipping just to see whether everything works properly.
All bikes come crated with sufficient protection against damages and oxidation.
Shipping charges of depend on the way your bike should be shipped ¡°Harbor to Harbor¡± or ¡°Harbor to Door¡± as well as on the destination.
¡°Harbor to Harbor¡± shipping means you have to pick up your bike at the harbor of your choice. Usually you need a van or at least a trailer for getting your ride home. As ¡°Harbor¡± you can also choose a so called ¡°inland port¡± which means the harbor is not at the sea but at a large river (like Rhine, Rhone, Mississippi, Hudson, and so on).
¡°Harbor to door¡± shipping usually is much more expensive due to the fact that the transportation company has to shift your bike from vessel to road or rail and then deliver directly to your home address.
Documents are sent separately via doc-express to avoid loss.
Just to give you an idea:
In 2009 shipping of a sidecar from China to Hamburg / Germany was about 800 Euro.
If you want to arrange the shipping of your ride on your own just feel free to do so!
